We are proud to announce that the Light of Healing Hope Foundation (LHHF) has been awarded a $25,000 grant from The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation to expand its program and continue to provide comfort and hope to patients and their families at a time of adversity. The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation is the largest private, independent, local Foundation focused exclusively on the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. At their fall Board of Directors’ Meeting, The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation awarded 141 grants for a total of $7,276,000. We are honored to have been selected out of several hundred applications for this generous grant.
The Navy SEAL Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to provide immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families.

The Light of Healing Hope Foundation, in collaboration with the Navy SEAL Foundation and the Chief James E. Whitehead JROTC Scholarship Foundation, held an exciting award dinner to honor Former Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates at Café Milano, graciously hosted by Franco Nuschese.
The Courage and Compassion Award Dinner was held to support the U.S. Navy SEALs, Naval Special Warfare, and their families; to provide healing and comfort to veterans facing traumatic medical conditions; and to award scholarships to Veterans’ families and multicultural at-risk public school JROTC students.
